Ingredients:
4 cups of water
2 green tea bags (or 2 teaspoons of loose green tea)
1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger
1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
2 tablespoons of honey (or to taste)
Ice cubes
Lemon slices (for garnish)
Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Brew the Tea: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove it from the heat and add the green tea bags or loose tea. Let it steep for about 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you want your tea. Remove the tea bags or strain the loose leaves and set the tea aside to cool.

Prepare the Ginger and Lemon: While the tea is cooling, grate the ginger. In a small saucepan, combine the grated ginger with about 1/2 cup of water and simmer it for 5-7 minutes to extract the flavors. Remove from heat and let it cool. In a separate bowl, squeeze the juice from the lemons.

Combine Ingredients: Once the tea, ginger infusion, and lemon juice have cooled, combine them in a large pitcher. Add honey and stir until it dissolves completely.

Chill: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the prepared tea over the ice. Stir to combine.

Garnish and Serve: Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for an extra burst of flavor and color. Serve chilled.

Tips for Serving and Storing:
Serving: To elevate the flavor, you can add extra lemon slices or a few sprigs of fresh mint to each glass. For a more intense ginger kick, you can increase the amount of grated ginger.

Storing: Store leftover iced tea in an airtight container or pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flavors will deepen over time, and you can serve it over fresh ice whenever you’re ready for another glass.
