Each year, the average American consumes about 126 servings of Coca-Cola Classic. Sold in over than 200 countries, Coca-Cola is one of the most iconic global brands. You can see it virtually everywhere from grocery stores to movie theaters to restaurants to amusement parks. One of the places you most definitely will spot Coca-Cola is McDonald's, another timeless household name.
But have you noticed that the Coca-Cola at McDonald's not only tastes different but actually tastes better than Coca-Cola from elsewhere? It turns out you are not alone.
Some people claim it's because there's more syrup in the Coca-Cola at McDonald's. Others say it's the contrast between the saltiness of McDonalds' fast food with the sweetness of Coca-Cola, making you crave the sugary drink more. But is there more to this?
A new theory has emerged, and it's largely due to the unique relationship between McDonald's and Coca-Cola. After all, McDonald's is Coca-Cola's largest customer. Starting from the 1950s, they each helped one another grow into two of the largest companies in the world.
