Ingredients:
For Fig Leaf Infused Tea:
5-6 fresh fig leaves
2 cups of water
Honey or lemon (optional)
For Fig Leaf-wrapped Grilled Fish:
4 fresh fig leaves
4 fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lemon, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or rosemary)
For Fig Leaf Pesto:
1 cup fresh fig leaves
1/4 cup nuts (pine nuts, walnuts, or almonds)
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Fig Leaf Infused Tea:
Begin by rinsing the fig leaves thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a small saucepan.
Once boiling, add the fig leaves and allow them to steep for 10-15 minutes.
Remove the leaves and discard them, then pour the tea into a cup. Add honey or lemon to taste, if desired.
Fig Leaf-wrapped Grilled Fish:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Lightly brush the fish fillets with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper.
Place a few fresh fig leaves on the grill and set the fish fillets on top of them.
Lay additional fig leaves on top of the fish to cover them.
Grill for about 8-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish, until the fish is cooked through and flaky.
