Introduction:
Gas burners can accumulate grime and grease from regular cooking, which not only makes them look dirty but can also affect their performance. Over time, the burners might become stained or greasy, leading to less efficient cooking. Fortunately, there's an easy and effective solution that requires only one tablespoon of a common household item. In this guide, we’ll show you how to make your gas burners shine again with minimal effort.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of baking soda
1 tablespoon of dish soap (preferably grease-cutting)
1 tablespoon of white vinegar
Warm water (as needed)
Instructions:
Prepare the Cleaning Solution: In a small bowl, mix together one tablespoon each of baking soda, dish soap, and white vinegar. Stir the mixture until it forms a paste-like consistency. If it’s too thick, you can add a few drops of warm water to adjust the consistency.
Apply the Paste: Turn off the stove and ensure the gas burners are cool. Use a soft cloth or sponge to apply the paste directly to the burner grates and surrounding areas. Gently scrub in circular motions to remove grease, stains, or food particles.
Let it Sit: Allow the paste to sit on the burners for about 10-15 minutes. The baking soda and vinegar will work together to break down any built-up grime.
Scrub and Rinse: After waiting, use a sponge or cloth to scrub the burners gently. Pay extra attention to corners or tight spots where grease may have accumulated. Rinse the burners with warm water to remove all traces of the cleaning solution.
Dry and Shine: Once clean, dry the burners thoroughly with a clean cloth or towel to prevent any water spots. For added shine, buff the surfaces gently with a microfiber cloth.
