Introduction
If you're looking to boost the shine and health of your dyed hair without relying on chemical-laden products, a simple kitchen spice may hold the answer—cloves. Known for their rich color and antioxidant properties, cloves have been used in traditional beauty rituals for centuries. This DIY clove hair rinse is an easy, affordable, and natural way to refresh your hair color, enhance shine, and nourish your scalp. Whether you're dealing with dullness or dryness from frequent coloring, this natural treatment can breathe new life into your locks.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons of whole cloves

2 cups of filtered water

(Optional) 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (for added shine and scalp balance)

(Optional) A few drops of rosemary or lavender essential oil (for scent and extra nourishment)

Directions
Boil the Water: In a small pot, bring 2 cups of filtered water to a gentle boil.

Add the Cloves: Stir in the whole cloves, reduce the heat, and let the mixture simmer for 15–20 minutes.

Cool and Strain: Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean jar or bottle.

Optional Add-ins: Once cool, mix in apple cider vinegar or essential oils, if using.

Application: After shampooing and conditioning, pour the rinse slowly over your hair, focusing on the scalp and ends. Massage gently and leave it on for 5–10 minutes before rinsing with cool water or leaving it in for a deeper treatment.

Serving and Storage Tips
Storage: Store the clove rinse in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Shake before each use.

Frequency: Use 1–2 times per week for best results.

Serving Size: One batch (2 cups) is generally enough for 2–3 uses depending on hair length and thickness.
