Introduction
Mimosa Pudica, often called the "sensitive plant" for its touch-responsive leaves, has long been prized in traditional medicine. Native to South and Central America, this humble herb is now gaining modern recognition for its potent cleansing properties—particularly for digestive health, detoxification, and parasite elimination. In this recipe-based guide, we’ll explore how to harness Mimosa Pudica’s health benefits in a gentle, delicious, and easy-to-make herbal blend.
Ingredients:
To prepare a basic Mimosa Pudica detox infusion, you'll need:
1 tsp dried Mimosa Pudica powder (available from health stores or reputable herbal suppliers)
1 cup hot water (not boiling)
1 tsp raw honey (optional, for taste)
1 slice of lemon or ginger (optional, for added benefits)
Optional Add-ins for Enhanced Healing:
1 tsp psyllium husk (to support colon cleansing)
A pinch of black pepper (to enhance absorption)
Mint leaves (for flavor and additional digestive support)
Instructions:
Boil and Cool Water: Heat your water until it reaches just below boiling (around 90°C/195°F). Boiling water may degrade some of Mimosa’s active compounds.
Steep the Powder: In a mug or tea infuser, add 1 tsp of Mimosa Pudica powder. Pour in the hot water.
Let it Sit: Cover and let the mixture steep for 10–12 minutes to allow the bioactive compounds to release.
Add Optional Ingredients: Stir in honey, lemon, or ginger to your taste.
Strain (Optional): If you prefer a smoother drink, strain before drinking.
