Ingredients:
2 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough or whole wheat work great)
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced
Β½ cup marinara sauce
Β½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
ΒΌ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp olive oil or butter
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
In a bowl, combine the cooked chicken, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Lay one slice of bread flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture onto the bread, spreading it evenly. Top with the second slice of bread to form the sandwich.
Heat the Pan:
Heat the olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted and hot.
