Put the minced meat, onion, and sausage in a big pot on medium-high heat. Cook until they are completely browned. Remove any extra grease.
Put the pot back on the stove and add the garlic. Cook quickly for half a minute.
Add the pasta sauce, chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, sugar, balsamic vinegar, basil, oregano, bay leaf, and salt and pepper to your liking.
Put a lid on it and heat until boiling.
Break the lasagna noodles into smaller pieces and put them in the pot.
Lower the heat to medium low and cook until the noodles are soft.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, mozzarella, or ricotta before serving.
