3 large oranges (preferably organic)
1 cup of water

Instructions:
Prepare the Oranges: Wash the oranges thoroughly. Slice them into 1/8-inch thick rounds. Remove any seeds that may be present. For a cleaner presentation, you can also trim the edges of the slices to remove any excess peel.

Simmer the Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine the water, liquid stevia or monk fruit syrup, and sea salt. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a gentle simmer. Add the vanilla extract and cinnamon, if using, for added flavor depth.

Candy the Orange Slices: Carefully add the orange slices to the simmering syrup. Reduce the heat to low, allowing the oranges to gently cook in the syrup for 30-45 minutes. Occasionally flip the slices to ensure they are evenly coated and softened.

Dry the Slices: Once the oranges have softened and absorbed the syrup, remove them from the pan and place them on a cooling rack lined with parchment paper.
