It's a timeless favorite that never fails to impress.

Ingredients
For the Filling:
1 lb (450g) ground beef

6 strips bacon, chopped

1 small onion, finely diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra gooeyness)

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for sautéing)

For the Pastry:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tbsp milk

Directions
Prepare the Filling:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside. In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until translucent. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.

Season & Combine:
Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Once cooked, remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add the bacon and cheeses, stirring until well combined.

Assemble the Bake:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Place the beef mixture in the center, spreading evenly. Fold the pastry over to enclose the filling, pinching seams shut.

Bake to Perfection:
Transfer the wrapped pastry to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Mix egg with milk to make egg wash, and brush over the top of the pastry. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

Rest & Serve:
Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm for the best cheesy experience.

Serving and Storage Tips
Serving:
Pair with a fresh green salad or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal. It also works great as a party appetizer when sliced into smaller portions.
