Ingredients:
For the Crust:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
¼ cup granulated sugar
½ teaspoon salt
For the Filling:
1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
¾ cup packed brown sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups pecan halves (or chopped pecans if you prefer smaller pieces)
Instructions:
Prepare the crust:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust layer.
Bake the crust for 10–12 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside.
Make the filling:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.
