Decadent Chocolate Tender Cake with Berry Filling

Make the Strawberry Filling:

1. In a small saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries soften and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Allow it to cool completely.

Prepare the Chocolate Frosting:

Assemble the Cake:

1. Once the cakes have cooled completely, place one layer on a serving plate.
2. Spread the strawberry filling evenly over the top of the cake.
3. Carefully place the second cake layer on top.
4. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the chocolate frosting.
