Whether you're hosting a dinner party, celebrating a special occasion, or simply craving something sweet, this Chocolate Cobbler is sure to impress. With its ease of preparation and irresistible taste, it's the perfect way to end any meal on a high note.
Ingredients: For the Cobbler:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup boiling water
For the Chocolate Sauce:
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/4 cups boiling water
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch baking dish or an equivalent size casserole dish.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth and well incorporated.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Do not worry if it looks a little runny.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, cocoa powder, and boiling water until smooth.
Pour the chocolate sauce over the batter in the baking dish. Do not stir. The sauce will settle below the batter while baking, creating that signature gooey layer.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top has formed a crust, but the middle is still soft and bubbling.
Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving. The top should be golden, and the center will be gooey and decadent.
