Directions

 

1. Make the bacon.

 

In a big pot or a large cooking pot, cook the bacon on medium heat until it’s crispy, which should take around 5-7 minutes. Take out the bacon using a spoon with holes and place it on a plate lined with paper towels. Keep approximately 2 tablespoons of bacon fat in the pot.

 

Cook the onion and garlic in a pan with some oil.

 

Put the chopped onion in the pot and cook in the bacon fat for 3-4 minutes until it becomes soft and see-through.

Put the chopped garlic in and cook for 1 more minute until it smells good.

 

3. Prepare the broth.
