Introduction
Tired of artificial air fresheners that smell more like chemicals than clean? Sometimes the best remedies for stale air are already sitting in your kitchen. In this easy and aromatic DIY project, we’re harnessing the natural deodorizing power of salt, the warm, spicy notes of cloves, and the zesty brightness of lemon to create a 3-day air freshener that not only neutralizes odors but fills your space with a fresh, invigorating scent. Perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, or any space that could use a natural refresh.

Ingredients:
1 large fresh lemon (or 2 small ones)

1/2 cup coarse sea salt or rock salt

1 tablespoon whole cloves

Optional: 3–5 drops of essential oils (like eucalyptus, lavender, or lemon)

Small glass jar or bowl

Knife and spoon

Directions:
Slice the Lemon: Cut the lemon into thin, round slices. If you're using two small lemons, slice both evenly.

Layer the Jar: In a clean glass jar or bowl, add a thick layer of salt at the bottom.

Add Lemon Slices: Place the lemon slices on top of the salt. Slightly press them down to release some juice.

Insert the Cloves: Stick whole cloves directly into the lemon slices, evenly spacing them for a balanced fragrance.

Add Essential Oil (Optional): Add a few drops of essential oil if you want to amplify the scent or add a unique twist.

Let It Sit: Place the jar in the desired area of your home—preferably somewhere with good airflow but not direct sunlight.

Replace Every 3 Days: After three days, discard the lemon and cloves, rinse the jar, and start fresh to maintain peak scent.

Serving and Storage Tips:
Best Placement: Ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, entryways, or laundry rooms.

Avoid Sunlight: Keep the jar out of direct sun to prevent early spoilage.

Storage: If you make multiple jars ahead of time, refrigerate unused ones (without salt) for up to a week.
