Citrus & Crimson: A Powerful Homemade Mix for Stronger Joints and Ligaments

Introduction:
Healthy joints, ligaments, and cartilage are essential for mobility and overall well-being—especially as we age or engage in physically demanding activities. While medical treatments are available, natural remedies can support joint health from the inside out. One surprising yet effective combination is the mix of oranges and red onions. Rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory compounds, this duo can help nourish connective tissues and reduce joint discomfort. Let’s explore how to make this simple yet potent recipe.

Ingredients:
2 medium oranges (preferably organic)

1 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon raw honey (optional, for sweetness)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

A pinch of sea salt

Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Optional garnish: fresh parsley or mint leaves

Instructions:
Peel and Slice the Oranges:
Remove the peel and white pith from the oranges. Slice them into rounds or bite-sized segments.

Slice the Onion:
Thinly slice the red onion into rings or half-moons. If the flavor is too strong, soak the slices in cold water for 5–10 minutes and drain.

Mix the Dressing:
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey (if using), apple cider vinegar, sea salt, and pepper.

Combine and Toss:
In a serving bowl, combine the orange slices and red onion. Drizzle the dressing over the top and toss gently to coat.

Chill and Serve:
