Introduction:
Modern life exposes our lungs to pollution, smoke, allergens, and various toxins that can trigger persistent coughing and respiratory issues. While over-the-counter treatments may offer temporary relief, nature provides powerful ingredients that support lung detoxification and help clear mucus naturally. This simple homemade remedy works to soothe your throat, reduce inflammation, and improve breathing—often within just three days. It’s especially beneficial during flu season or for those recovering from a respiratory infection.

Ingredients:
1 medium red onion (antibacterial and anti-inflammatory)

1 tablespoon grated ginger (mucolytic properties)

2 cloves of garlic (boosts immune response)

2 tablespoons raw honey (soothes throat and suppresses cough)

Juice of 1 lemon (rich in vitamin C and antioxidants)

2 cups water

Directions:
Prepare the ingredients: Peel and finely slice the onion and garlic. Grate the ginger.

Simmer the base: In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes.

Strain and cool: Remove from heat and strain the liquid into a glass jar or container.

Add honey and lemon: Once the mixture has cooled to lukewarm, stir in honey and lemon juice. Stir well to combine.

Store properly: Keep the remedy in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator.

Serving and Storage Tips:
Take 2 tablespoons in the morning on an empty stomach and another 2 tablespoons before bed.

Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Shake or stir before each use for best results.
