The woman mixed baking soda and disinfectant bleach until it was like a paste. She then used a used toothbrush to remove dirt from the walls.
She was so happy with the result that she wanted to share her experience with other housewives.
Internet users’ reactions
It is commonly believed that baking soda can clean many surfaces. After sharing her information on social networks, the Australian has received several responses. “I’m going to clean everything at home!” responded a woman. Another person said “I know what I’m going to do while the kids are at school.” However, some Internet users have insisted on pointing out the dangers of mixing the two chemicals. “Be careful when mixing chemicals, never mix vinegar and bleach,” one mother warned. In fact, the toxic fumes that chemical cleaners can give off can cause coughing, breathing problems, allergic reactions or chemical burns.
Precautions to take when using bleach
Commonly used to clean the house, bleach should be used carefully. In fact, this chemical disinfectant can sometimes cause household accidents if certain rules of use are not respected:
- Always dilute bleach with water
- Do not mix bleach with an acidic product such as ammonia, vinegar, or a descaler. This interaction can result in the production of a toxic gas that can cause lung damage.
- Avoid putting bleach on your skin at the risk of severe skin reactions.
