Ingredients:
For the Meatloaf:

1 lb ground beef (preferably lean)
1/2 lb ground pork (optional for added flavor)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Mashed Potatoes:

4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk (more if needed for creaminess)
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Melted Cheese:

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
Bake the meatloaf for 45–50 minutes or until fully cooked through. A meat thermometer should read 160°F (71°C) in the center.
While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the mashed potatoes. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil, then add the cubed potatoes. Boil for 15–20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash them using a potato masher or electric mixer until smooth. Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper, and continue mashing until creamy and well-blended.
Once the meatloaf is done, remove it from the oven and top it with the shredded cheddar cheese. Return it to the oven for an additional 5–7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve the meatloaf with a generous scoop of mashed potatoes and enjoy!
Tips for Serving and Storing:
Serving Tip: Pair your meatloaf with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad to balance the richness of the dish. If you have leftovers, this meal is great for making sandwiches the next day!

Storing Tip: Store leftover meatloaf and mashed potatoes in airtight containers. The meatloaf will stay good for 3–4 days in the fridge, while the mashed potatoes can last for up to 2 days. Reheat both in the microwave or in the oven to preserve the flavors.
