Whether you're hosting a dinner party or looking for a family-friendly weeknight meal, these roll-ups will be a hit on any table. Let's dive into the ingredients and easy steps to make this delicious dish.

Ingredients:

12 lasagna noodles
1 lb Italian sausage (either mild or spicy, based on preference)
1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking the sausage)
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 tablespoon fresh basil (chopped, optional)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:

Cook the Noodles:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly. Lay them flat on a clean surface to prevent sticking.
Prepare the Sausage:

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Cook until browned and fully cooked through. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
Make the Cheese Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Assemble the Roll-Ups:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a small amount of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Take each lasagna noodle and spread an even layer of the cheese mixture over it. Then add a spoonful of cooked sausage on top. Roll the noodle up tightly and place it seam-side down in the baking dish.
Top with Sauce and Cheese:

Once all the roll-ups are in the dish, pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top. Sprinkle any leftover mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top for an extra cheesy finish.
Bake:

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After that, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Serve:

Let the roll-ups cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Tips for Serving and Storing:

Serving: These lasagna roll-ups are perfect as a standalone dish but can be paired with a side salad or garlic bread to make a complete meal. A drizzle of extra marinara sauce or a sprinkle of fresh herbs will add more flavor.
Storing: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
Freezing: These roll-ups also freeze well. Before baking, cover them with foil and freeze. When you're ready to bake, simply add an extra 10–15 minutes to the cooking time, depending on your oven.
