How  to make  laundry  and clothes  smell fresh  ? When we have been hot, when we smoke or when we have been in contact with a smoker, after a day of work, after taking public transport or after running, and sometimes even after repeated washing, the clothes  do  not  don’t really smell  good anymore.

1 – TRADITIONAL LAVENDER SACHETS

Our grandmothers knew well the virtues of lavender: soothing and calming, it is ideal in bedrooms. It can be enjoyed in herbal teas or soaked in a cloth to decongest the respiratory tract during a cold.

To scent your laundry with lavender:

  • Under piles of clothes or at the back of cupboards, flowers perfume your laundry.
  • Slipped under the fitted sheet of the bed, the sachets help you fall asleep.
  • At the bottom of the dirty laundry bin, they mask odors.

2 – ESSENTIAL OILS

Essential oils are volatile and therefore allow the surrounding fabrics to be perfumed. Among the many existing scents, you will certainly find the one that suits you.

Some suggestions for enjoying the scent of EOs:

  • Add a washcloth soaked in 10 to 15 drops of essential oil of your choice to the full drum of your washing machine.
  • Dilute these drops with a little vinegar in the softener drawer of your washing machine.

3 – BATH SALTS

Add a pinch of orange or lavender bath salts to the last rinse water.

4 – NEUTRALIZE ODORS WITH WHITE VINEGAR

  • To neutralize bad odors such as tobacco, cooking or musty odors, use white vinegar.
  • Instructions for use:  simply pour a coffee cup of white vinegar into the softener container. Additional advice: do not smoke near drying laundry, the smell of tobacco can penetrate the textile fiber, and it is difficult to get rid of it.
