Here’s a recipe that’s quick to make but full of flavor, turning ordinary corn into a sweet and savory treat.
Ingredients:
4 medium ears of fresh corn, husked
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional for extra richness)
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional, for added color and flavor)
Instructions:
Prep the Corn: Husk the corn and remove all the silk. Rinse the ears of corn under cool water and pat them dry with a towel.
Cook the Corn: You can either boil, grill, or roast the corn.
To boil: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the corn and cook for about 7-10 minutes or until tender.
To grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the corn directly on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the kernels are charred and tender.
To roast: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the corn on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through.
Make Honey Butter: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter and honey. Mix well until smooth. If you want additional flavors, add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.
Coat the Corn: Once the corn is cooked, remove it from the heat source. Brush the honey butter generously over the warm corn, ensuring each ear is fully coated.
Serve: Serve the corn hot, garnished with a little extra sea salt or freshly ground pepper if desired.
